6 Days From Red Dust to White Sands

Your Wayvora Safaris guide meets you at the airport or your hotel for breakfast and a full briefing on the programme. You then set off southeast for Tsavo East, one of the largest parks in Kenya and the one known for its big elephant herds and for the lions that halted the railway in 1898. You arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, with an afternoon game drive to follow. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

A last game drive in Tsavo East this morning, then the crossing into Tsavo West, arriving at the lodge for lunch. The afternoon goes to the rhino sanctuary, which protects a black rhino population inside a fenced section of the park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Early breakfast and a morning game drive taking in Mzima Springs, where water surfaces after filtering down through the lava flows off the Chyulu Hills; the underwater chamber puts you at eye level with hippo and shoals of barbel. Afterwards you drive to Mtito Andei station for the train to Mombasa. Our representative meets you on arrival and transfers you to your hotel.

A free day with nothing on the schedule: the beach, the hotel, and your own pace. Snorkelling, dhow trips, kite surfing and excursions into Mombasa old town can all be arranged locally at additional cost.

A second free day. If you would rather see something than lie still, Haller Park, Fort Jesus and the Wasini Island dhow trip out to Kisite Marine Park are all within reach and can be booked through your hotel.

The last day flexes around your flight. There are morning and afternoon options back to Nairobi, or you can add a night in the city before you fly. Let us know what suits and we will set it up.
